| Contact Getting to the Club The University Club is conveniently located in the heart of San Francisco, a few blocks away from Union Square and the Financial  District, atop of Nob Hill. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: There are many ways to get to the Club via Public Transportation. BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit): Take Bart to Powell Street Station, which is six blocks South of the club.  From there you can take the Powell Cable Car line straight up the six blocks, or walk up to California. Cable Car:  Both the Powell and California lines meet on our corner; the Powell starts downtown below Union Square and goes to Fisherman's Wharf, while the California  line runs from the Financial District to Van Ness Avenue. Bus: The California line (#1) runs along Sacramento, which stops one block behind us at Sacramento and Powell. DIRECTIONS TO THE CLUB: For personalized directions from your location, please visit http://www.mapquest.com From S.F. Airport and Peninsula (San Jose): Freeway 101 North to 4th Street (Last S.F. Exit).  Stay left off exit and follow Bryant Street.  Take left on 3rd Street.  3rd Street will turn into Kearny Street after crossing Market.  Take a left on California Street to Powell Street.  The club is the brick building on the right side at the intersection. From Bay Bridge (East Bay): From the Bridge, take the first exit on right lane of Bridge - Fremont Exit.  On Fremont Street, use middle lane and cross Market.  Take a left on California Street to Powell Street.  The club is the brick building on the right side at the intersection. From Golden Gate Bridge (Marin County): Take Lombard Street Exit to Van Ness Avenue. Turn right on Van Ness Avenue.  Stay in left lane.  Left on Broadway Street.  Use right lane through Broadway Tunnel.  Right turn after tunnel - Powell Street.  Go to California Street.  The club is the brick building on the left side at the intersection. PARKING: Parking is currently available on a limited basis for members only in Miles Alley and on Joice Street.  Since parking is a large premium in San Francisco and all street parking is limited to 2 hours, we recommend guests and reciprocal members use the numerous garages around the immediate area.  Please click here to view the Parking Map.
